Team "LC"

Since my middle school days of watching Laguna Beach each Wednesday, all the way through high school when The hills was permanently on my television, I have always been "Team LC". (I even had a t-shirt from Hollister in 7th grade exclaiming that exact phrase) I loved her sharp personality, but especially her style. I emulated her California look of ripped jeans and gauzy blouses during her Laguna Beach days and envied her perfect braids and chic dresses when she moved to The Hills. To this day, I still find myself searching through blog posts about her and browsing (sometimes purchasing) the amazing pieces from both of her lines. What I adore most about Lauren's lines are that their price ranges are within anyone's reach. Her higher end line, Paper Crown, is sold mainly in boutiques and a few places online. It still has that same light and airy California feel, but remains on trend and effortlessly chic.

All sold at (Prices ranging from $200-$400)

For those who want a little bit of Lauren Conrad in their lives without breaking the bank department store Kohl's, is stocked full of her LC by Lauren Conrad line. I am a personal addict of the guilt free line, and keep it as one of my go-to's when I need a cute outfit fast and don't feel like having to look very hard. There is always at least one piece from this line I cannot live without, and rarely have to spend over $50 to have.

All available at or in stores

These similar lines are both gorgeous and fitting of any die hard Lauren Conrad fan, such as myself. Team LC for life.

Dreaming of Barbados

Sapphire Beach at Dover

View from The Crane Resort, this beach was voted one of the most beautiful in the world.

As I sit by my pool sipping homemade cocktails and reading Marie Claire this summer, I am constantly reminded of my picture perfect spring break with my roommates in Barbados. I am a bit late posting these, but better late than never. Enjoy!

Jessica Simpson Caught Plagiarizing?

Jessica's shoe on right & Louboutin on left

Affordable fashion mogul and new mother, Jessica Simpson, has been making headlines in all the right ways lately. (We haven't seen hide nor hare of any more mom jeans disasters) This blunder, however, may have lawsuit written all over it.
As you can see from the picture above, Jessica's design, which was featured in Elle's April issue is strikingly reminiscent of the Louboutin sandal sold in stores two years prior. Talk of a possible lawsuit is still up in the air, but many agree that it is only a matter of time before the high end company takes Jessica to court.
On the other hand,  Jessica's shoe can become a colorful member of your closet for a mere $98, but its twin Louboutin will set you back almost a grand. Those who are fortunate enough to afford the red soled beauties are not about to trade them in for a pair of Simpson's, and those who desperately long to wear thousand dollar shoes take solace in being able to afford shoes like Jessica's because they have that desirable fashion edge. Bottom line, Louboutin is not going to lose any customers because of this. So perhaps they should cut Jessica some slack because let's be honest, we all can't afford designer shoes, but thanks to brands like Jessica Simpson's we can come damn close and still be able to pay the rent.

I'm Back!

After completing with second year of undergrad with flying colors, I am pleased to say I will be back blogging my outfits along with a myriad of new fashion related news posts I have in mind. My outfits this summer will probably be focused mainly around my current job as an intern at a law firm, but will be far from anything just ant stuffy old lawyer would wear!
